Las contradicciones sociales combinadas con el humor son fundamentales para el trabajo de Crack Rodríguez y sus acciones performativas, provocando preguntas importantes y provocando que el público reaccione y, en algunos casos, se involucre. Las instalaciones a gran escala de Melissa Guevara consisten en múltiples elementos que hacen referencia a la noción de transformación. Su uso de arcilla, tierra y restos humanos dicta su interés recurrente sobre la delgada línea que existe entre la vida y la muerte. El trabajo de Mauricio Kabistan examina la lucha de las víctimas a menudo ignoradas de la situación política y social en El Salvador. Kabistan investiga documentos históricos que crean archivos que exponen los males de la sociedad contemporánea. La memoria es el elemento clave en su trabajo, usándolo como una herramienta para el cambio. La obra de Ernesto Bautista es una colisión constante entre la poesía y la violencia. La noción de lo infinito, lo efímero, lo oscuro y su realidad social inmediata son una fuente inagotable de información y conocimiento que ha utilizado con éxito en su trabajo. El enfoque cínico de Bautista le permite cuestionar y reconstruir una percepción y conciencia de la realidad diferente.

Social contradictions combined with humor are central to the work of Crack Rodriguez and his performa- tive actions, trigging important questions and provoking the public to react, and in some cases to engage. The large-scale installations of Melissa Guevara consist of multiple elements that reference the notion of transformation. Her use of clay, soil and human remains dictate her recurrent interest about the thin line that exists between life and death. Mauricio Kabistan ́s work examines the struggle of the often ignored victims of the political and social situation in El Salvador. Kabistan researches historical documents crea- ting archives that expose the ills of contemporary society. Memory is the key element in his work, using it as tool for change. Ernesto Bautista’s work is a constant collision between poetry and violence. The notion of the infinite, the ephemeral, the obscure, and his immediate social reality generates an endless source of information and knowledge that he uses successfully in his work. Bautista ́s cynical approach allows him to question and reconstruct a different perception and awareness of reality.
